First road trip of the season down to Clempsun. They swept Army this past weekend.
Another good home series vs Wright State. They lost the series at #6 UGa this weekend, but won the last game old the series.

Welp, turned the game on just in time to see Clemson hit a grand slam.
Starting to think it’s me. ![]()
The shift continues to pay dividends…….for our opponents.
Run ruled…….based upon what I’ve seen so far, I cant say I’m surprised and it likely won’t be the only time it happens. This pitching staff aint it.
We were pretty much out of this one when we allowed 5 runs on 1 hit in the 1st inning.
Everyone had high expectations of Kribbs. He was preseason all-conference and our staff saw him as good enough to be a Friday starter. We all saw what he did last year, so we know he’s much better than he’s shown this year.
He needs to be a contributor on this team, but I don’t know how many more opportunities he’s going to get if he pitches like that. If we only get .2 innings out of our Friday starter, it really taxes the bullpen for the whole weekend.
It is also interesting that we’ve moved Bryce over to SS after 1 weekend. Something to watch.
Happy for Spencer Nolan having a big game at his dad’s Alma mater!!
Yep—Kribbs has been REALLY BAD. Can’t seem to get anything in the zone, or in some cases even close (in the dirt, etc.).
It was a struggle but Spencer Nolan comes through with the walkoff RBI. Back to .500 on the season.

Great weekend at The Hayes.
I bout nose my fruts off today…..
Good weekend overall. Much improved performance on the mound.
Copper was good Friday, essentially as an opener and let JT take over for 5+. He looked dominant.
Munn looked fine on Saturday. As well as Camp, Stanton and Carson. Offense left too many on base but came up clutch when needed.
Jones looked great on Sunday, giving us a quality start deep into the game. Oxborrow was good and Combs closed it out. That was the combs I was expecting to see this season. 10 pitch inning with 2 Ks to close out the sweep.
Offense was pretty good all weekend. It’s much easier on everyone putting runs on the board early and playing with the lead. We left 24 on base between Friday & Saturday. Only left 6 on Sunday. Lots of opportunities out there to be had. On to Week 3.
San Diego is now 6-1 with a 5 game win streak, and Clemson is still undefeated with #3 overall RPI.
