They have a local kid from Denver, Evan Meyers, a freshman lefty starter that is 2-0 with an 0.64 ERA amd 11 K’s in 14 innings.
Excellent pitching performance yesterday by Copper. It was a tight ballgame until we broke it open late. He pitched great under the pressure. I feel like that is the blueprint for what we want to happen on Friday nights. Copper with 6 strong, JT with 3 strong to close it out.
I was thinking that Munn might be our Friday guy eventually, but if we continue to get that from Copper it is going to be hard to get him out of that spot.
I must say it is heartbreaking what the Radford team has had to go through in losing their teammate. It certainly puts everything in perspective.
It was nice to see Virginia put a run-rule effort on the Heels last night too.

Another great pitching effort today. Drew Munn gave up 2 hits through 8 and AJ Camp finishes it by striking out the side. Niners have won 9 of the last 10! That was a very good Western Carolina team we shut out today.

Yep…..WCU is good.
Really fun game today. I am very happy baseball is back. That game was also super short too which was a bit shocking to me
Looked like a very solid crowd at the Hayes especially with students being out. Was also impressed with WCU’s support, they must have a lot of local kids on the team
WCU fans are very nice and great to hang versus other schools

I didnt realize it until JT pointed it out after the game, that last nights home plate ump was the same clown that was behind the plate in Kannapolis Wednesday night!
Why no ESPN+ broadcast of today’s game? I thought we,had moved past this kind of busch league stuff in our AD.

Got the win and weekend sweep! Our baseball team is red hot right now. Nice weekend against good competition. Always tough Cambell is up next.
