We should see a good test of our pitching depth with 5 games this week.
Conference schedule starts this weekend on the road. 9 week grind. Last season UTSA won the league with 23 wins, the year before that eastern won it with 19 wins. We won 18 last year and finished 2nd. I’m predicting that the conference will have 3 or 4 top teams battling it out and 18 wins will be enough to win the league this year.
These 2 game mid-weeks really test your pitching depth. This was our 5th game in 6 days & our 3rd game in 4 days where we used lots of arms. Some of the guys we threw pitched in 2 of the games and some pitched in all 3. I don’t think we pitched well last night overall and I guess I will chalk that up to fatigue. You should win any time you are able to put up 10 runs. The deeper guys on the staff need to eat up innings when called upon.
