Two years from now, watch out for SJU. Martelli got all his recruits, every single one he went after. Their junior year they will be sick.

Cmon, St Joes is just a little ole A-10 mid-major team. They couldn’t ever be real good or get good recruits.

Just more proof, that this move to the A-10 may not be as bad as some people think it will be.

Also watch out for Dayton next year. The Flyers lose only one player and all six of the freshman have played considerable minutes this season. UD has inked 6-9, 265 lb. center Desmond Adedeji of DeMatha HS and 6-5 wing Charles Little of Cleveland, TN (home of former Niner G Chris Baker). The former was offered by South Carolina and Clemson, while the latter had offers from Ole Miss, Houston, Tennessee, and Boston College.

X won’t be too shabby either. I’m glad we had one final year in CUSA because the A10 is down this year, but next year should be a good one.

St Joe’s has a 13-2 confrecne record without Nelson and West. That 29-2 over two seasons. They are playing much better now than in December. Infact, if they don’t win the A10 tourney but make it to the semis or finals, they have a good chance of getting an at large bid. Their RPI is nothing special. They have their national reputation as well as the strength of last season. Also they have recieved a lot of attention being the “victim” in this whole “Goon” mess John Chaney has caused. Their victory over GWU was impressive. They’ve got this whole “win just won for the gipper (John Bryant)” subplot developing that is just made for March Madness TV. The selection commitee isn’t “supposed” to consider such things but I feel public sentiment is in their favor

I heard this morning that if St. Joe’s can make it into the Dance that Bryant may be back to play. St. Joe’s is a team on a mission!!!

Like Saint Joe's, XU was really hurt by the graduation of their trio of seniors who led them to the Elite 8 last season. Moreover, their star recruit -- Churchill Odia, who Rick Pitino tried to "steal" from XU -- hasn't exactly had the breakout freshman season many thought he would (heard that one before!). On the positive side, frosh guard Stanley Burrell (Ben Davis H.S., Indianapolis -- why does that sound familiar? ;) ) has come out of nowhere and should make the A-10 Newcomer team.

Vandy transfer center Brian Thornton has also suffered from tendinitous, which has slowed him down after a pretty good start. In addition, his backups both suffered season ending injuries.

Anyway, next season the Muskateers have a couple of 2004 All-Ohio 2nd teamers coming in – 6-7 Derrick Brown and 6-6 B. J. Raymond. In addition, there is NC State transfer Adam Simons, a 6-10 center from Burlington, NC who will be eligible after the 1st semester of the 2005-06 season. If Thornton can get healthy again, as well the redshirting 6-8 Brandon Cole and 6-9 Boubacar Coly, then XU could back in the hunt again.
