4 or 5 seed??

I heard Greg Doyel on Penner and Mac today. He said that the 9ers could get a 4 or 5 seed if Withers can step up and be the outstanding player he was supposed to be for the rest of the way out. He also said that if Iti would score 10 and get 8 boards a game we would be a top 10 team. I think that is asking a little much of Iti, but I agree. Eddie has given us consistent production, but if Withers is more consistent night in and night out, I think a 4 or 5 seed is possible.

We’d have to win out to get a 4 seed and even then we could lose it depending on what we did in the CUSA Tourney. At this point, with our lack of quality wins (it’s getting better though) and our SOS, I just don’t see us getting better than a 6 and that will take some work just to get there. Right now, I think we’re still sitting in the 8/9 range but can really help ourselves from here on out. And we cannot afford to take a step backwards by choking this weekend.

I agree with JCL. If we go 6-1 the rest of the way in the reg season, and do OK in the conference tourney, I think a 6 seed is the best we can hope for.

Saturday is huge. It would show whether we have finally ā€˜turned the corner’ or not. I’m hoping so.

I heard that too. He also talked about his article on Withers...needing to play inside more like last year. He said since the article, Withers has been awesome. He didn't take credit for it...just that it looks like it was addressed and "corrected".

I agree that if Iti stepped it up, we could be a top 15 caliber team. Curtis, Eddie, and Plavich have already done it and Mitch is playing well in stretches.

Leemire could be huge if he plays how he did last night. When he tries to take guys off the dribble, he can ALWAYS create enough space for a step back jumper to get into the lane for a ā€œand 1ā€ situation

thank God someone pointed this out. I thought that Lee was huge in starting the 2nd half run last night, of course with help for others.

I pointed it out last night. No love for me?

I keed.

Lee is going to be awesome, but we need someone to teach our guys not to jump on defense. Even Eddie and Mitch do it from time to time. It drives me crazy.

I fear the day I see Leemire trying to guard Taquan Dean, but he was awesome on offense.

Guys if we win out and win the tourney we are a 2-3 seed…One game at a time though…St louis…st louis…st louis

The highest we can possibly get is a 4 seed. a 2 seed would mean we finish in the top 10, for a team that is ORV that is unrealistic at best. I'd love a 5, be happy with a 6, be pleased with a 7, and say horse $hit with an 8 or 9.

3 is a stretch, 2 is a dream.

Kansas, Wake Forest, Illinois, UNC, Duke, Kentucky, Syracuse, Oklahoma St. have the 1 and 2’s locked up barring anything disastrous.

I will reiterate what everyone else said causes its important.

St. Louis game is HUGEEEEEEE!!!

Depaul is bigger!!!

These are two capable teams(StL cause of the curse and DePaul because theyre really good.

gotta win

No way we get better than a 5 seed, no matter what we do from here on out. Most likely we will be in the 7-10 range with an outside shot at a 6 seed. We had a far better resume last year and ended up in the 8-9 game.

but, believe in whatever seed you want. There’s no way they are going to consider us one of the top 16 teams in the country.

If we run the table…as previously said we would be in my opinion a 2 or 3 seed. We would be 26-4,regular season, and tourney champs of the CUSA. That would be a top 10 position and a 2-3 seed. I don’t think its going to happen…but

Last year we limped in and laid an egg gaist uab in the tourney.
