This team is going to greatly miss Lee, but at the same time I feel it will grow stronger from his loss. I think Wilderness has great potential to be a great leader for this team. He reminds me of Eddie in alot of ways. Next year could be a big year for our program with, but I feel that 2009/10 looks a little shakey with the losses of Coley and Mack.
weâll still have p jones and g ngoundjo. And Barnett might end up a big if he keeps growing. Provided these guys improve, theyâll help. But we do need some more big men recruits.
Iâll preface this by saying Iâm not for extending Lutz yet and Iâm not trying to argue that, but I wonder how many of our young guys transfer if we get a new coach (particularly if itâs not Mox). Maybe necessary evil, but that would suck to lose some of these guys. The sophs probably not, but the freshmen, I donât know. Probably something to also consider in terms of the costs of getting a new coach.
So, if we can replace Lee with a shooting guard that plays solid defense, doesnât gamble on the steal, doesnât take contest stupid shots. While having everyone else up their scoring ability a little. I think our future looks bright.
However, we will really miss Leeâs great leadership, hopefully someone will step up and take over the role
Bowden is an excellent shooter, taller, more athletic than Lee and Ian. Letâs hope he lives up to that and has half the heart of Lee.
if bowden is as good as advertised and barnett is as good as he has potential to be and our new guys develop, i think we will be better next year than this year. we should be more balanced. i disagree that coley, gaby and dewhurst will be nothing more than role players. i think these guys, especially gaby have the talent to be stars. gaby, dewhurst, wilderness are only freshmen. we must also consider the players that we have not signed or gotten committments from yet. we are one or two players away from being a good tournament team. hopefully karron johnson or holloway and marhold.
I think Dew will be a great player for us and I can see the Goonj being a defensive POY candidate in the A-10 his JR and SR seasons.
I actually really would like to see Mox get a shot at the Head Coaching position here. He always manages to bring us great recruits. Dont get me wrong I love Lutz and what he has done for this program, but I think we should be one of the top 3 in the A 10 every season. Period.

I agree Smeed. Mox was named âAssociate Head Coachâ for a reason. I donât really understand all the talk of who we are going to go after if Lutz is done. I think itâs Moxleyâs job if he wants it.

Too true! Two true!

There has been speculation that if Lutz is cut, Mox will follow him. But I too think that he is a good prospect if the head coaching position becomes available.
I think Dewhurst has the potential to be our best all around player by his senior year. His all around game has shown great potential and I think his defense is underrated, look at the block on #21 in the Maryland game. He seems to have the complete package as far as passing, defense, rebounding, driving, and hustle. The only think missing is the outside shot. Gaby is also going to be a monster in the next couple years.

I agree. The observer addressed that one stat line this morning in their article: Ex-Latin star breaks out for Niners. Looks like that is something he is still gaining confidence on. He could be a great all around player.
thanks for the link! I actually hadnât see that yet lol. Has anyone heard any news on how Coleyâs injury is?
That is on Utterâs blog
[Coley] said he believes he will be able to play in Wednesday's game at Clemson. "I'll be good to go," he said. Charlotte head trainer Carlton Anderson was not as optimistic, and said Coley was "questionable" for Wednesday.
