Living Social is offering the Gold Card (four season tickets per sport to men and women’s soccer, volleyball, and women’s basketball ) at quite a bargain. Normally $49, you can get it for $24.
While I am happy to see them promoting this and would encourage all of you to take advantage of the great deal, I do feel a little screwed since I always buy one through the ticket office during the summer BBall season ticket order period. The best Gold Card customers end up paying the most for them.
I buy every year and I don’t feel the least bit “screwed”. Try buying these tickets individually or at any other school and you will see what I mean.
Several home games are already in the books. Makes sense to discount. I paid 8.99 for a product in the grocery store only to see it for half that in the weekend circular. Didn’t feel screwed.

I can always get in if I want to go to an event, but it sure seems like they don’t plan this very well.

You are right that this whole deal is not well planned or well executed. I’ve always just assumed that they mail out the Gold Cards immediately after the first fall home game if you don’t pick them up at that game. All part of being 49er fan, I guess.
