I’m a little late with this, but former 49er golfer John Gough played in the Walker cup for GBI at St Andrews. He’s currently up to 13th ranked amateur in the world. At the Walker Cup he went head to head against world #1 (lost) and #5 (won).

Anytime you beat Clemson and WF you’ve had a good tournament. Not mention, they also finished ahead of Tennessee, who has one of the top amateurs in the world that is from the metro Charlotte area.
