49er Logo Concept - anyone?

Any new brand concept really needs to tie into the city, IMO. Something that all of Charlotte can identify with, not just our students and alums.

With that said, UNLV unveiled a new logo a year or so ago. I haven’t seen it since, and that’s a damned shame… this does EXACTLY what I’d like ours to do. It takes their existing identity and incorporates it into something that is so distinctly Vegas that the city can’t help but identify with it.

This is busier than the kind of logo I usually prefer… but damn, it really hits the nail on the head for an urban university.

The CLT logo/font might be a nice touch on the bottom of the shorts.

Agree with the 704 logo conversation. Love the idea, but the key graphic needs work.

Love the Pittsburgh 412 style…would love to see 704 come up with something just as marketable.

Stumbled across this alternate logo (San Francisco I believe). If it was edited a bit and switched to green/gold or green/white, anyone else like it as a possible logo?

Well, I’d wager there’s a way to make that our sport-specific logo, swap out say a basketball or baseball or soccer ball, or even a stopwatch for track.
