Completely unnecessary too. HP player was in his own half, Charlotte defense was set up. No reason to take that yellow anyway, but especially if you know you’ve already got a yellow card. Hopefully his teammates step up and he gets another chance to play.

Why would you add “Historic” to the name of your soccer facility? Kind of smacks of “The Ohio State”

According to the Clemson website, Riggs Field dates all the way back to 1987, which makes me significantly more historic than it is.
Edit: after posting this rant, I found out that Riggs dates back to 1915 and was the original site of Clemson athletics. I’m guessing that 1987 was when the site was dedicated to be used as a soccer stadium.

I suppose Riggs Field is historic in the same sense that Fenway Park would still be historic if it were demolished and replaced at the same site with a modern baseball park. That is, not at all historic.
Anyway, Clemson nor anyone else will ever top THE Ohio State.
