Davidson not good. They were not only outplayed and out scored, they were totally physically beaten by games end. Looks like a long season for the Mildcats, On to Syracuse, which will be exponentially more difficult.

UAB has a new coach. They outshot the Holy Holes and lost on a PK. If that is a sign of their rapid improvement, it would be good for the league. I could not find a replay of the PK call to tell if it was good or BS

Charlotte received 2 votes in this weekโs United Soccer Coaches national poll. Our next opponent Syracuse jumped to 7th and UNCG, who we play in a couple of weeks, is now 18th.

See that #6 Saint Louis beat then #7 Indiana 2-0 to make that precipitous jump from unranked to top 10.
And last weekโs #6 Tarholes (1-0-1) apparently โpunishedโ by the voters after defeating UAB 1-0 (on a PK) in the Magic City and then drawing Cal Baptist 0-0 in Chapel Hill.
Iโm guessing itโs just early season guessing but some of these rankings are just weird to me. Syracuse jumped from 25 to 7 just from beatingโฆ Colgate and Niagara.
On the womenโs side NC state went from unranked to 25 after losing to ECU and Campbell.
