Depends on how you define postseason success. We have won the conference tournament 3 times, including the last 2.
If you mean NCAA success, cross reference that against how many times we were sent to an ACC school to play an early round game, even when they didn’t deserve it over us…
I’m not saying that we don’t need to go deeper in the NCAAs than we have lately. I like Langan but Gunn was the high water mark. We need to keep building back to that, but we also need the NCAA to stop screwing us over.
Same kind of crap happened to us for years in basketball, and it held us back there too. How many 8/9 games were we stuck in when we deserved better?

If he’s saying that Gunn is better than Langon, that is probably true. He’s also better than 99% of NCAA coaches. Back to back to back NCAA championships happen for a reason.
So far as our tournament run to the final game, our team was very good AND we had some good luck. IIRC, we lost in our conference tournament, which allowed some extra rest, had more than one advancement on PKs, and had an upset loss by a top five team help us not to have to play against that team.
We are cursed when it comes to beating an ACC team when it counts.
Just doesn"t happen.

FWIW, visiting Wolfpack beat 4-seed Georgetown 2-0 on Nov 24, then lost yesterday at 13-seed Marshall 2-1 in a Sweet Sixteen matchup. Finished 10-5-5.

Oh wow that’s such a cool finals game. Two schools that never get the representation they deserve. You have to think that the success of USL2 Vermont Green helped the University this year

Is Marshall still recruiting foreign pro players who only technically have college eligibility?
Does it matter that they are recruiting foreign players? Don’t universities encourage having foreign students all the time?
They are professionals. I guess that doesn’t matter anymore, but Marshall was doing it before NIL was legal.
