My son had a game, so I didn’t get to see this live.
Looks like it was a blowout.
Question though - looks like we are missing some players I expected to be back.
Like what happened to Jaedon Richardson? #17 last year. He was really good. Did he transfer? I can’t find anything about him leaving online.
I do know about Ivan Mata, who would probably be starting on our back line. Out for the season with a knee injury.

I had a chance to watch Liberty (currently 2-0) play in person this weekend. Mentioning them because they dominated USC Upstate and they looked really solid while doing so. Was surprised to learn that they play in the OVC, which for soccer is filled with a random collection of directional schools and what sounds like ECPI branches. They should absolutely roll through that league and because of that I expect them to get votes or make the rankings this season.
Really liked one of their defenders - think it was this guy:
Star player. Does everything well. Dropped a dime of a longball that resulted in a goal. If he wasn’t already a senior (link is wrong about that) I’d want Langan to see him.
Also, Upstate has quite possibly the largest Center Back I think I’ve ever seen. This guy was the Mountain from GoT. Easily 6’8, probably 230+ lbs. It was almost comical how big he is.
Surprised Liberty isn’t playing in the much more geographically favorable SoCon, which has only 6 MSOC members from the Carolinas (Furman, UNCG, Wofford), Georgia (Mercer), Tennessee (ETSU), and Virginia (VMI).

App game was initially scheduled as a Thursday
Soccer sked came out AFTER the App game move to a Friday. Plus we’re talking about schools just over an hour apart via I-85. Yet another head scratcher from the Niners AD.
The whole schedule came out after, but we don’t know when this specific game contract was put in place

This was a match I really wanted to go to. I think the guys are going to need a strong crowd to pull off the W.
