We came out swinging in terms of effort, but it didn’t produce any legitimate shots on goal, which means it was all wasted. Eventually our effort returned to the norm and we spent most of the rest of the match desperately trying to keep them out of our goal.
I dislike being so negative about our play and calling out a player like that is extremely distasteful… But it really was that bad. If there are … “highlights”, that giveaway in front of our goal was stupefying… Just awful. You’d punch the wall if you weren’t in shock over how bad it was. Just like “WTF?”
Charlotte Harris has been dynamite this half. A shame we don’t have a goal to our name we’ve been so much better. I’m sure that’s partly due to NC State sitting back though
