How many butts actually in the seats?
disappointing, but somewhat expected.
At no point tonight will anyone see anything that topped Eddie Basden’s breakaway dunk. Nothing.
Those that didn’t attend, you should be ashamed of yourselves. The city of Charlotte sucks.
<-- not in CLT
<---------- Not calling out anyone on this board.
I know… still sad I missed it
That crowd was close to 6k??? Were they counting the Event Staff too?
VERY weak crowd in terms of numbers but those that came were loud. I guess it was as enthusiastic as a small crowd could have been. The big run in the 2nd half and Eddie’s dunk certainly helped.
And there was almost a really good cat fight in front of us but I won’t mention any board names. B)

The crowd that was there was in to the game. You could hear the students on the webcast.
I bought two tickets, one for me, one for a date…and the date didn’t show
So there’s another -1 you can add (or take away) from that…
IT WAS A VERY QUIET CROWD TOO
As I was walking out, I walked past a band member (at least I’m assuming, since he was carrying a horn case). He was talking with some friends. I had my face painted, and the hair on, obviously a member of GG. As I passed him, he said REALLY loudly, “Well, it’s not my fault Gang Green and Niner Nation sucked a$$ tonight!” I thought about saying/doing something, but I think we need the band around.
i know i was screaming at the peak of my lungs…i couldn’t talk after the game

[/b]Well there are a lot of members of the band that arn't really huge basketball fans, which that could have been one of them. Either way, where the band was sitting, Halton sounded really silent. It had it's moments, like the dunk that needs to introduction, I know the student section gets loud, props to Niner Nation, but tonight it didnt really travel around the arena that much, maybe because the noise was banking off empty seats.
There was about 4500 at the game…at the most…
Yeah, I’d say 4,500ish. The upper levels looked pretty empty.
If there were 4500 actually bodies, I’d be shocked.

Loud and Classless. A Real Troublemaker. I think evreyone sitting close to her was really embarrased. None of them would ever do anything to stir up any trouble. B)
The folks I was with and myself guessed about 3,500 bodies in the seats. No way it was half full, with lots of totally empty sections, and the only close to full sections appeared to be the two lower student sections on the sidelines, and the gang green section. From where I sat, it appeared that the old fart sections (my side) were half-full at best. Behind the Houston bench wasn’t 1/4 full!
I did think that the energy of the folks there was strong, though we never got a 40 - 9er chant going. I did like the support the crowd gave the team in both halves when Houston kept tying the game up. Instead of everyone sitting on their hands, the crowd got loud and supportive.
I also expected lots of folks to leave at halftime (for the other game), but I think very few actually did that.
GO NINERS!!!
