You just made my hangover feel much worse.

:frowning:

Over40Niner, almost 20 … the article in the Archives at our official site says we were up 18 with 12:26 to go.

Over forty, and i am almost over 50, that post should have made you feel better…

Can’t be much worse than those years

Hang in there we will go a dancing, and win a game or two

SF, we may have gone to school together. It was difficult to keep up with 49er basketball during the 80’s because I was living in the Triad, there was no internet, we were not very good, & by then most of my friends had starting moving out of the Charlotte area. I still managed to attend about one or 2 games a year, but it was a pretty depressing era when compared to the 70’s, 90’s, & 2000’s. I often wonder where our program would be had we not been set back by the 80’s.

I was a freshman the final four year and went to all the home games.

Used to sit right behind our bench in the old charlotte coliseum or the mine shaft.

Graduated in 1980 , live in Charlotte unitl 1988 then raleigh and now
G vegas since 1994.

My brother, and I TM49er suffered many years…

Whay year did you graduate?

To this day, I still don't know what compelled Jeff Mullins to come to UNC Charlotte.

I’m just thankful he did.

You are so right Silvio

Success at purchasing/running a worn down car dealership in Apex, making it profitable so that he could "play" coach. And he didn't do a bad job at either.

Thanks for the implied history lesson. I’ve followed Niners bball since the 70s and remember the dark days well when we struggled to win 6 games in an entire year. Let it suffice to day I think our program has progessed to a level where we win more than 6 games in Dec alone and should hold a high expectation of the calibur of opponents we should beat. At least some of us who follow this program do…

Originally posted by ChicagoNiner@Jan 30 2005, 01:10 PM You, sir, are a fan that needs to strive to want and expect more from this program. We should never lose to a 6-13 team EVER.
I do expect a lot from this team, and I am certainly disappointed with our effort yesterday. But to compare a 3-point loss in an away conference game to ANYTHING from the Pratt/Wissel era is way off base.
