#8 Richmond vs #9 Charlotte

Noon tipoff, game will be on NBC Sports. Brothers had to get stitches in his hand after last game, will be curious to see if this hampers him.

Let’s get some revenge!

Tip is at noon according to A10:

I hope it does because our defense last go round sure didn’t. Solve the Brothers problem and we win.

Tipoff is at noon.

I think 2k was just saying our offense will show up around 1PM. ;D

A discussion on their board: http://richmond.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=1577&tid=163284082&mid=163284082&sid=1099&style=2

my flight is at 8:00 am…go Niners!

If we play a little Havoc on Brothers and slap his hand everytime he sticks it out by half-time it should be the size of a catcher’s mitt. Just sayin’.

Didn’t we play Ingram on him a lot the first game? Maybe mayfield.

Brother’s last 10 games, 8 games < 15 points and in 5 of those games it was 10 or less. His 39 against us was def the high light game of his senior year. His only other 20+ point game in conference games was 22 against temple. Hopefully we can hold him to his average production this game.

I like the way you think Nugget

Would really love to see the Niners shock them. I guess there’s reason for them to be optimistic given their game against us and how the Niners finished up, but hopefully the Niners will have the defensive intensity to cover their shooters and punish their inside players, including Williams who didn’t play last time, appears to still be a little rusty, and also just a bit overrated in my opinion (he’s good, but I think his profile is helped by their having so few other competent post players lately). It will help that this game isn’t in Richmond.

Wonder who will cover Brothers in this game. Probably Williams, but we may see Henry on him some too.

Richmond is…

Rpi 80

3-10 in away games
0-1 on a neutral site.
Their lone conference road win was Fordham.

5-14 against top 100 teams.

Charlotte is…

Rpi 65

5-6 in away games
3-1 on a neutral site.
We beat Butler, RI, Duq on the road in conference

7-10 against top 100 teams.

I think we just need to man them up and tell Williams to hound Brothers all game and not let him breathe. Henry might get him some, but I wouldn’t want Henry to use all his energy on him…Williams can be a tough cover guy, just had to stay focused on not helping off of him.

Ingram would have to be our guy to smother Anthony.

Hopefully, the refs let us play in this one and get physical with this team.

Those are all good stats and certainly seem to be stacked in our favor, but I think a much tougher stat that you’re leaving out that probably has them so confident is this one: they are 9-2 against us the past 11 times they’ve played us. For whatever reason we’ve just had a hard time winning against them the past few years. I think we have some swagger back and can take care of business on Thursday, but don’t expect their fans to take us seriously until we do.

Excited about this game (which we’ll win).

What time is the tip?
