A-10 Baseball LIVE, FREE

Greetings from the Bronx. I hope you NNN’ers are doing well.

Two things:

1.) I have posted a story about our baseball all-conference award winners on Charlotte49ers.com.

2.) There will be Live, Free streaming video/audio from all 10 (or 11) games here at the tournament. You can link to this features either via Charlotte49ers.com or the A-10 web site.

If you didn’t know, the #4 Niners take on #5 Saint Louis on Wednesday at noon in the opening game of the tournament. The winner advances to face top-seeded Rhode Island at noon the next day, while the loser has to come back and play an elimination game at 7:00 on Wednesday night.

For those of you who used the Yahoo! College Broadcast during the season, I will not be handling the call of these games (so depending on your point of view, that might be a good thing). Instead, they have one “neutral” announcer ready to do all of the games this weekend from Fordham for your enjoyment.

Please feel free to send me an e-mail with any questions and I’ll try to get back to you. mmccull1@email.uncc.edu

Also, stay tuned for more information about the Tom and Lib Phillips Field Renovations … details are coming … Getting closer … I can feel it.

Thanks,
Matt McCullough

Thanks for the update! Looking forward to the coverage.

what an absolute SHAFT job and mockery by the A10 coaches:

Adam Mills was 8-4 (3.23era) with 105 ks and 16 bb??
Derek McDaid was 9-3 with a 2.65 ERA??
neither all conference???
they should wipe their rear ends with their honorable mention plaques and mail them back to the A10 offices, and use it as motivation this week.

those are not honorable mention numbers. Anytime you strike out over 100 while walking 16 and go 8-4 in the NCAA, you are at least 2nd team all conference, or go 9-3 with a 2.65 era.

too bad for Adam and Derek, because its hard to repeat those stats and have another shot in your life- at getting a college accolade.

this former All American and POY recognizes what they did this year.

Can anyone get it to work? I try to pull the game up and it will show that commercial for Easton bats and then I get nothing. What am I doing wrong?

The game may not have started yet. I’m getting the same commercial, but then no live feed. When somebody gets it to work please post so that the rest of us will know the game has started and that the live feed does work. thanks.

The game started at noon. We are down 1-0 in the 2nd. Chris Lane had an error in the first. Live feed still not working.

Down 3-0 in the middle of the 4th. Top of the lineup coming up in the bottom of the 4th.

We do not want to get in the loser’s bracket after the 1st game.

Not looking good. 3-1 after 6. Bird, SLU’s pitcher, threw a complete game against us earlier this season and the only run he gave up that game was unearned. This game is looking eerily similar. Time to step up Niners.

Game over. We lose 3-1. Not good. We now have to win 4 games just to get back to the final. Ugh. :unhappy:

Why do we keep having these great regular seasons, then just take a giant crap in the conference tournaments? Mens’ BB, women’s BB, softball, now this. Not good at all.

Relatively young or playoff inexperienced teams? I have no idea about any team besides basketball. Im just throwin this out there. Basketball had one good and experienced senior and the rest were either bad or relatively new to D1 college ball, except for a few.

Our regular season record may have looked good, but the weak schedule inflated our win total. The pitcher that beat us today pitched his 2nd complete game against us this season and has only allowed 1 earned run in 18 innings. An 0.5 ERA against the Niners!!! :scared:

We play again tonight at 7.

Yeah, Bird was really good that first time we saw him too. Seeing almost every home game this year, I saw that the team can be very, very erratic. From sweeping GW to losing 2 out of 3 at Saint Bonaventure, it’s been up and down and up and down…

If the Live feed doesn’t start working before the start of our 7 pm game tonight, I’ll have the call on Yahoo! (if you still have your subscription). CSTV and the Fordham internet people couldn’t figure out how to push or pull the feed from the press box … the internet lines were only set up to push, and CSTV didn’t have enough power available to pull the feed through … blah blah blah I know, but bottom line, I hope it starts working by tonight or else it’ll be back to Yahoo!

The live feed is now working - I’m watching Dayton vs. GW right now. They pumped it somehow through the Fordham University web site … access it through the Atlantic10.org baseball championship web site …

If it makes you feel better, the C-USA feed hasn’t worked today either.

If we were in Conference USA, we wouldn’t even be in the conference tourney.
