It appears that 10 of the 14 A-10 teams have a sirius contract, which is cool for out of towners and people who struggle with FNZ’s weak signal. But we’re not one of them right now. I have no idea how much this would cost the school, but it might be a much better home for Niner radio than FNZ…
BTW Charlotte@Richmond is on, but it’s UR’s broadcast. Channel 146.
I’d be giddy if we joined up with them. Heck, it’s $4.95 for Yahoo and this is only $8 more, plus 100+ other channels.
I think the UR game is the only one that’s been on so far (of ours). FWIW, XM has ACC and Big Ten games (maybe PAC-10 too).
I got Sirius last month and have been very pleased.

Couldn’t the school save money by NOT signing up if the majority of the other schools have signed a contract? Every game against an A-10 opponent would be on Sirius.

I guess that is an option, but then we wouldn’t get coverage for non-conference games. we would have to listen to the other team’s broadcasts for all of the A10 games but that isn’t that big of a deal.
I would love to see us get a deal with Sirius. It would be a much better option that yahoo in my opinion. I’m not sure how those contracts work, but I would think that Sirius would be interested in getting the rest of the A10 teams on board.
The Yahoo site has given me trouble about half the time. I would welcome satellite coverage (too bad we have XM). I would pesonally like to see it as an addition to the yahoo coverage. That way one could choose to listen on the computer or on the radio. For me personally, we would not want to go out and purchase/suscribe to Sirius because my wife’s car is setup for XM. However, I hope for the rest of you they do sign. If that’s the only way I can hear my Niner’s …I’ll be buying my wife a new car!..

No need for that… you can get a small adapter that fits in your trunk that will convert your existing XM factory radio to Sirius. I think it is around $100.
