X-Men land a “big one” in 6-9/290 center Matt Stainbrook, who is transferring from Western Michigan. Averaged 12 ppg and 6.8 rpg for Broncos this past season and will have 2 years in Cincy after sitting out 2012-13.
URI lands another transfer in 6-6 PF Jarelle Reischel, who averaged 5.7 ppg and 2.7 rpg as a freshman for Rice this past season. Originally from Frankfort, Germany (father in the military), he played his high school ball at Point Pleasant H.S. in New Jersey, where he was twice-named best player in the Shore Conference. Had originally chosen Rice over Seton Hall and Penn State, while picking URI over VCU this time. Will have 3 years in Rhody blue after sitting out 2012-13.
