Was Temple not in the A-10 when they went to the Final Four?

What is now the A-10 did not begin play until 1976. Temple joined in 1982.

I don’t think Temple has ever been to the FF, at least not as a member of the A-10. Chaney got them to 5 NCAA regional finals, but never to the FF.
BTW, La Salle is the only A-10 team to win an NCAA championship in men’s hoops. A long, long time ago…
Temple has 2 FFs in the 50s, I think.
Just looked 58 and 56.

When is the O going to copy this article and print it in their paper?
When is the O going to give us an update on Lutz’s situation?
Thanks

Actually, I’d prefer the Big O do their own story, like the P-G and this one from the Dayton newspaper about UD and the Atlantic 10.
DaytonDailyNews.com: Roberts, Flyers get attention after netting upset of Louisville
From UMass/A-10 beatwriter Ron Chimelis of the Springfield Republican:
MassLive.com: Atlantic 10 rises again
Includes this observation…
For the first time in years, the A-10 seems much closer to power-conference than mid-major status, though it probably falls into neither category.
I’ve always viewed the BCS leagues has high major, though some of their programs don’t fall into that category (Northwestern, Penn State, Nebraska, Baylor). And I’ve generally viewed the A-10 along with the WAC, now the Mountain West, as major conferences, with some teams occasionally rising to high-major status. Xavier in that position now, like Temple and UMass before it.
