A10 relocating conference HQ
It is very curious though why a conference with 14 teams would choose to relocate their conference HQ to a point south of 93% of its membership.
Official announcement expected about the move on Thursday.

I guess they want to feel more centralized by distance alone. Here are some mileage numbers…

Richmond - 78 miles
George Washington - 169 miles
Saint Joseph’s - 305 miles
Temple - 310 miles
La Salle - 312 miles
Charlotte - 342 miles
Saint Bonaventure - 398 miles
Fordham - 406 miles
Duquesne - 406 miles
Rhode Island - 554 miles
Massachusetts - 563 miles
Dayton - 577 miles
Xavier - 602 miles
Saint Louis - 891 miles

This shows how far out the fringes (Charlotte, Dayton, Saint Louis, Xavier) of the A10 are.

The Newport News area is a recruiting hotbed. Anyone think that played into this?

Hey even the most Yankee conference in America want the hell out of the North! LOL.
