The NCAA needs to devise a system where NIL funds go into a conservitor management group, that 1st, uses the funds for the recipient to pay their university for their expenses ( scholarships, R&B, ect.) out of the NIL funds they receive. And 2nd, have a research wing that requires verification from the group(s) providing the NIL funds that they are actually using the athlete’s NIL and not just pay-to-play.

Chances the Bamas of the college world sign off in anything like that? Zero.

That’s why there needs to be legislative action that pushes such a solution.

True, unless they go along in order ti head off any potential lawsuits brought by other students.

And the athlete’s portion of the Student/Athletic fees would also be deducted from their NIL funds.

Have read that Rick Stansbury has joined the staff at Memphis but haven’t seen anything official. If so, then another bag man for the Tigers! :moneybag:

It is official - Slick Rick to UofM:

Knew Goodman would have something to say when it comes to Stansbury:

“lethal recruiter”
Will kill if necessary to land a recruit?

That was just that once…and it’s been years ago.

Hardaway hiring Stansbury is somewhat ironic. When 2022 Boise State transfer Emmanuel Akot decommitted from Memphis and landed at WKU instead, speculation was Slick Rick’s “offer” was more substantial than Penny’s. And that’s saying something!

Going to be interesting to see the league’s respective 2023-24 OOC skeds. Will be important in determining NET rankings, especially without Houston to prop up those numbers.
