Our basketball budget spend is 3.6 mi in line with Fresno st, Marshall, New Mexico st and Wyoming. Ecu comes in at 4.3, umass 4.4, utep 4.6, usf 4.9 we are well behind peer schools in basketball budget. SDSU is 7.2. We need to be at least where ECU is.
In football our spend is 12 mil - we probably need to grow that by 50% to be where we need to be. App and NT have shown though you can win with that budget
Our roughly 40 mil budget is well behind AAC schools. ECU is 54, usf is 62. We have ground to make up here. The schools leaving AAC are around 80mil.
If we add 6 to football and 2 to basketball and push our total budget up to around 50 then we will be closer to where we should be. AAC money will help.
