I honestly didn’t bump this thread for you two to be assholes to each other again. We need both art and science. Now if you have something to say about the academic direction of the University feel free to comment.
Never said we didn’t need science. I only defended my chosen profession.
If somebody said that something you cared enough about to devote your life to it was ‘worthless’ and that it shouldn’t be ‘any more than a hobby’ you would take offense and defend yourself and your chosen profession as well.
As far as the academic direction of the University, I’m all for it. Niche or not, the fact that we excel in the sciences allows us to make a much stronger identity for ourselves.
Both the Arts and Science suck.
