And this is why you should not post after drinking heavily.

What happened the last time we played at the dean dome? Wasn’t it a little close for comfort as I recall? You know state and wake saw that. App ecu uncg/a/w are much more predictable wins 2-3 years out…Duke would play us more at Cameron but they usually rotate the small private schools and nccu through. Other acc schools have scheduled us and getting wins over the gatech, vatech, Clemson and fsu of the world would help our rank IF we could accually do it.

Can’t compare us to Davidson. Duke/wake will always schedule them because of them being historical small private religious school “rivals” ( just my opinion). And Carolina does the same because that’s what Carolina really wants to be a small private school ( again opinion) add to that that Davidson usually loses by a comfy 10-15 in years when a Curry is not on the team and there you have it.

I would pay to see SCK, the Uh-Huh guy and Florida49er2009 have a round table discussion on the state of 49er athletics.

Judys UT connections may help out in football in the future. Road trip to Neyland and a million dollar payout for the school? Yes please.

Can we include Metro in that conversation too?

I am very interested in playing NC State, Wake, Clemson, GA Tech, and or VA Tech regularly. It’s good that we’ve been able to play FSU the past 2 years, but I would enjoy playing the other teams even more because they are more regional. I am not interested in playing Duke because, because, let’s be honest, they would win almost every year. The same would probably be true for UNC unfortunately, although most of y’all would not be likely to admit it.

But, forget just the ACC; I would like to play more big conference teams in general, especially somewhat regional ones. I thought our series against TN was great, and I loved playing Louisville again, even though we had to go on the road. I would stack our OOC with good teams and also mediocre/poor teams from good conferences to strengthen our RPI and to draw in more attention/fans/attendance. A lot of you are caught up on how bad CUSA is and say RPI doesn’t matter, we just need to win the CUSA tournament. I don’t care for that argument because even if it comes out to be true I’d still rather have more big names, more games on tv, and more butts in the seats - even if it means less home games.

Definitely not one to play grammer police…but you clearly do not understand proper use of “a” and “an”. Same can be said for ALL CAPS! … so, if you aren’t sure, just always use one or the other… better than guessing wrong almost EVERY time. I’ll have to echo Nuggets comments.

That being said, your opinion is welcomed, as is everyone elses…

Possibly the dumbest post ever on the board.

And that’s saying something…

The only thing I will say is we need to drop the home and home demand if it gets us on some decent schedules. Anyone, anywhere should be our motto. Win a few if those and we might be able to start getting some more respect.

Agree with that

I wonder if davidson will get a game with unch anytime in the near future if not already scheduled. We know what happens when u take them to OT.

It’s not like these other programs have to agree to these games or anything.

Good thread.

The post was clearly a troll.

Since 2005-2006, we’ve had home and homes with:

Wake
Maryland
GT (twice)
FSU
Miami
Clemson

We have also had home and homes with these teams from the SEC:

Tennessee
Mississippi State

In that same span, Davidson has played the following ACC and SEC programs home and home:

I’m sure we could get a lot more ACC teams to play us if we were willing to not want home and home’s and just accept our place as an irrelevant program that does not deserve any respect.

We’ve done a fairly good job getting home and home’s with ACC opponents, just none in the state, but like J Felt said, they have to agree to play those games too and they don’t want to play us at home, or in some cases play us at all. It is a no win proposition for them. If they win, it is considered a game they’re supposed to win and they don’t get any respect for it. If they lose, they get mocked and talked down because they got beat by Charlotte.

Our focus needs to be on continuing to get any home and home ACC games we can get, get a home and home started up with an SEC program, and get home and homes set up with A10, Big East, and MWC/Missouri Valley Conference teams.

Every year our OOC schedule should have, IMO, games against ECU & App (with one of those being at home), an ACC team, an SEC team, Davidson, a preseason tournament, a Big East and/or A10 team, MVC team (or someone like Belmont), and 1-2 guarantee games.

Our OOC schedule is actually not bad this year, it was just the home schedule that sucked. We played a B1G team, a Big XII team, and two ACC teams. Four games against power conference teams, Davidson, and a game against another large in-state public school (App) really isn’t a bad schedule, it is just a shame that most of those games were played away from Halton.

i understand the desire of many to play acc teams but our goal really should just be to have teams on the schedule that would count as quality wins if we defeat them. if we defeat these teams and make the tournament, i think most will not care about not playing a lot of acc teams. if we get a wichita state on the schedule, to me that is more valuable than playing a team like viriginia tech, who does almost nothing to build our resume. its almost more about quality than name recognition.

While I agree quality is most important I reference my earlier statement about winning games our casual students and alums recognize. That means names do matter to some degree.
