Adjehi Baru 2011 C - Steward School (VA)

Much more athletic than Gaby.

he’s also like four inches taller than gaby.

haha so basically he sounds nothing like Gaby. :stuck_out_tongue:

We heard how athletic Gaby was and how he had a great wingspan and was a dominant shot blocker with a decent, but developing offensive game. All sounds the same to me except the guy is 2 inches taller.

This guys is also one of the top rated C’s in the class and plays with a top tier AAU program. Gaby had neither of those.

this guy is four inches taller. big difference.

I think it’s wise to through every preconception out the window since we have an entirely different set of coaches looking at guys. You’re making the mistake of falling back on how Lutz era players did or did not live up to their evaluations.

Would definitely like to see him playing for us. Great size and wingspan. Would like to see what Major can do with him.

#28 overall, 4 star in latest Rivals rankings.

per Rick Lewis, Tyler & Colby’s dad on twitter:

IMHO, Maryland has inside track at Baru unless UNC pulls the trigger

Per ESPN, Baru signed with College of Charleston.

That’s a pretty steep fall… Maryland/UNC to CofC.

$&^$%^

Nice. I assumed the ACC schools had backed off.

Nice. I assumed the ACC schools had backed off.[/quote]I know that Kentucky had been checking out Baru too. Not sure that they offered though.

Baru was a package deal with his HS coaches son.

That is awesome! I know my friends at Charleston will be excited. I think this is a smart choice actually.

  1. Cremmins is a good coach, and I think CoC will have a good chance to win the SOCON and make the tournament during Baru’s 4 years.
  2. He gets to play alongside his good friend from HS.
  3. He will get minute right away
  4. Charleston > Blacksburg and >>>>> Chapel Hill or College Park
  5. 4 GIRLS FOR EVERY BOY

Story was in this weekend’s Times Dispatch regarding Baru’s recruitment and how he ended up at CofC.
