AI bot attack

Apologies for the weirdness this morning. We were attacked. Still cleaning up.

Can someone reply to this that is not an admin? I just want to make sure I haven’t borked the permissions.

Looks good to me now…it was weird. Good luck cleaning it up.

Looking okay here

Looks good now thanks

I’m in the house. :green_heart::pick:

Likely traceable to Boone or Greenville NC (I have to specify the state because everyone knows about how cool Greenville SC is in comparison). They aren’t wise enough to hide their tracks.

So how does that happen? Someone had to specifically target nnn? I guess I don’t understand how and why.

I noticed many of our school Twitter accounts were getting lots of replies due to a former professor’s online comments. There was some unwanted attention on the University.

It’s been a problem on Discourse based sites in general lately. We’ve had a few hits, but nothing like this last one. Registered 100+ accounts.

I don’t get why it’s a good idea. Either it’s a well used site and someone is going to clean it up or it gets no traffic and no one sees the spam.

I was quickly able to write down the customer service contact info for every airline in the world, though. I’m excited to put this new information to use.

What a tool. Good riddance. Thanks for shaming the University.

I’m only guilty of loving trains.

That probably wasn’t an attack. It was probably Mike Hill trying to help. He means well, but doesn’t do well.
