Figured this needed to be its own thread.

Appears to have been heavily involved in recruiting at Ohio
His title at Ohio was Director of Recruiting. Hope this means that he is actively involved with recruiting here until the staff is completed.
Since there has been no signings of coaches I wonder if almost the entire Ohio staff is going to follow him here after their bowl game next week.
That would be awesome.
The more the merrier. They have a proven track record.
I don’t think the entire staff is coming. It’s rumored that the interim coach may be offered the head coaching job at Ohio.
clt asks that we rename this chat page to “albins coaching staff”
some of the less mature posters may find humor in the current title
Rumors we are bringing on Janus as OC
Who is this one name Janus guy.
Very unconventional to bring in a Lacrosse head coach to be the OC. I like it. Always keep them guessing.
Hugh Janus
Of interest this was posted on the Ohio forum concerning Clay Finney;
"Not at all surprised Clay has exited Athens. Had a chance to meet him during summer camp. He told me “I would run through a wall for Coach Albin.”
He played a big part in assembling the list of portal prospects who might make sense for Ohio. More of an administrative job than evaluating talent and making decisions. I’m sure he’s doing exactly that for Charlotte, which they need badly."
Somewhat contradictory in that last paragraph. If he’s assembling a list of prospects, would think he’s evaluating talent while doing so.
Could be just assembling a list based on stats and PT and then leaving the actual talent eval to the coaches.
New Director of Football Operations.
Formerly with ECU, but Ohio U alum.
Albin’s staff may fill quickly. Rumor has it that the Ohio AD will replace Albin with an outside coach. He will probably keep one assistant to assist with transition, but the entire rest of the staff should be available. It looks like Albin made a wise choice to get out from under that AD. Why would an AD take a program that has won 10 games a season for 3 straight years, and trash it so that she can rebuild it from the ground up? IDK, but Ohio’s loss is Charlotte’s gain. It’s and excellent staff.
No Ohio players are in the portal at all at the current time because they love their coaches. When word gets out that the entire staff is gone, Charlotte may pick up the best of Ohio’s players as well.

I think we will see the OH players hit the portal starting this weekend. They play their Bowl Game on Friday of this week
