Alex played his ass off tonight. Had 2 sacks and another sack cancelled because of a bogus penalty. Also had 5 QB hits and 2 TFL’s.

Alex would never fight with his teammates on the field, or on the sideline during a game. Neither would Larry.

Kenny Montana isn’t good.

Please, he is a HOF…or so I’ve heard.

The problem has been the OC Canada. That stated, last night was Kenny Montana’s 7th game winning drive, and he did it with cracked ribs. Only Cousins has more game winning drives in the NFL over the same period of time.

Kenny Montana has a QB rating of 108 after the 3rd quarter. He is close to the best in the league at yards per catch in the 3rd quarter.

Kenny Montana is 5-3. The Steelers are 12-5 in their last 17 games.

Stats are for losers. He doesn’t pass the eye test. Overthrows a lot of receivers and has happy feet in the pocket.

Game winning drive? They scored to go ahead halfway through the 4th. Not like a 2 minute drive, cmon…

He had cracked ribs, wore a flack jacket 4 days later and won the game. If you are going to count missed passes, you should also consider how many dropped passes there have been from his perfect throws. He is a winner. He is no Derek Carr. That dude was a loser when the game mattered most. They are 12-5 in their last 17 games and 5-3 this year, with little to no running game.

Have you ever had a cracked or broken rib? You live in terror of sneezing for 5 weeks because the pain from the rib can drop you to the floor. I don’t see how he played at all. Must have been a needle involved, but still…

Is Alex an All Pro candidate? I think so. The Steelers aren’t that good right now. They are 5-3 team for a reason. At the same time, the Steelers are a team that is built for cold weather. Always have been. Look for Alex’s stats to continue to climb as the temperatures drop to painful degrees.

The NFL’s Next Gen Stats arm credited Highsmith with an eye-popping 11 pressures of Tennessee quarterback Will Levis during Thursday night’s win. In the process, Highsmith took over the NFL lead in pressures for the season with 49. 49! 49! 49ers!

Just saw on WCNC sports that Alex sustained a neck injury in the game tonight. He left the field under his own power, but didn’t return. No other details given.
