The team loves Henry. It is pretty cool to see our team with an unquestioned leader again. Hard to believe he is only a sophomore.
Loved Major’s comment about throwing all the numbers out the window (offense and defense). Looking at the stats of the game just doesn’t give you a feel for how that game was played. Major called it one of the top 5 hardest efforts he’s seen in a college game. Totally on board with both of those statements.
Awesome video. Had to watch it without the sound so I can’t wait to watch it again at home with the sound on.
One thing I never get tired of seeing with this team is how when they make an awesome play on offense, they get back quickly and immediately look for their man or the ball. Also, and Major mentioned this in the pregame, just how genuinely happy they are for their teammates when they do something great. This is truly a team and not just a collection of individuals.
I will go a step further and say it’s pretty cool to have an unquestioned leader who deserves that role. I feel like we have had plenty in the past, but they didn’t really deserve or conduct themselves in a manner that was fitting a leader.
I thoroughly enjoyed that. I’ve been slow to pour on compliments toward our team, but I’m starting to get a special feeling from the team’s vibe. I hope we keep improving. The year is still young…

Definitely. I’d say the last time we had someone like that is Leemire. Dijuan was a leader, but I don’t know that he was THE leader. It also reinforces that the leader doesn’t have to be the best player. Braswell wasn’t ever going to be a leader. But that doesn’t make him any less of an awesome player.
You have to learn to enjoy the upswings. You can see the dark on the horizon, but don’t let it put a damper on the awesome things that are happening right now.
