Anyone out there recall the name of the professor in the music department who taught the class History of Rock and Roll in McKnight? This would be the late 80’s. He was an accomplished trumpeter and would play the national anthem at bball games a few times a year. Also wonder when that class stopped being? Great class by the way.

That’s crazy. I had Dr. Harding for the same class in 97.
I graduated in’80 but that class would have been epic. We had the greatest music in the early ‘70’s. Then disco f’d it all up. Sorry for our failures but cocaine got out of control and idiots took over music.
I took two classes taught by Dr. Harding: History of Rock and Evolution of Jazz…..two of my favorite classes and really influenced me to check out other music and appreciate it on a different level. It was a fun, easy class of course, but really learned a lot from him.
