from what i have read he sounds like a good player for a full court type of game but lacks the strength at this point. i would imagine we will wait and see how he develops before we start showing interest in him.

according to ninerreport, us, usf and virginia tech have all offered. last i had checked, his only offers were from western carolina, mt. st. marys and buffalo. this kid must have had some very good aau tournament performances.

From watching his videos, I really liked this kid and hope we would continue to go after him. I think he is going to turn out to be a pretty good player.
per the rivals article…we were not even in the final 4 for Thomas. I would hope this is b/c we backed off and are pursing options.
am i missing something? rivals said this kid was offered by us, virginia tech, auburn, south fla and committed to app state, aka basketball purgatory?
i hope we have our eye on bigger fish to fry, cause if we’re losing out recruiting battles to crapp state, then i’m going to slit my wrists and hop in the tub now.

Buzz Peterson can still recruit, and he has some very good ones on his staff. For instance, former UNC-CH player Jason Capel. We all know how good of a recruiter his brother Jeff (head coach at Oklahoma) has been.
From the Rivals App. St. site, it seems like Thomas may still be considering what he wants to do since the coaching change. We need to get in contact with his coach and find out if there would be any interest there.
He really likes Buzz Peterson a lot. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him follow Buzz to UNCW. I agree though, this kid looks like a good player, we need to get on the phones/ drive up the road and see what the deal is.
I hope we make a push for Thomas. I think he would help out immediately with our lack of depth at the 3.
