Strengths:
Gill is an athletic combo-guard that was impressive with his ability to score against older competition; he utilizes his size and quickness in transition attacking the basket. The left-hander also showed a nice stroke from behind the arc while burying a couple 3's off the pass.
Weaknesses:
He handles the ball well enough to play some point, but has more of a scorer's mentality when pushing the ball.
Bottom Line:
At this stage in his career, he's on track to pass Ryan Kelly (Duke) as the school's all-time leading scorer. Gill, a lefty, is a superb finisher and doesn't even start at his natural position of point guard yet. He's a high-major in the making for the Ravens. His father played at East Carolina and he owns early offers from Charlotte and the Pirates. N.C. State, Clemson, Xavier and Virginia Tech expressed early interest.
@DaveTelep Dave Telep Wake Forest has a visitor this weekend. 2013 Ravenscroft guard Anton Gill will be on campus. Gill’s father played at East Carolina.
sounds like we can forget about this kid. Per scout.com:
“Growing up here, Carolina is always the big team,” the sophomore said. “It’s always been one of my goals to go to the ACC, especially Carolina. I grew up seeing the great teams and the national championships and things like that. It’s definitely a goal and something to work for.”
To go with interest from UNC, Clemson and Wake Forest, Gill said East Carolina andCharlotte have offered him a scholarship.

2013, SG, 6-3, 170 pounds
The lefty shooting guard is a dynamic shooter with a quick trigger and great self confidence. He displayed excellent speed and quickness, understands how to get open and is a good ballhandler with the ability to get anywhere on the floor. The ACC is monitoring him, while ECU and Richmond have already offered.
Anton Gill, SG – Arguably the top performer in the 2013 class, Gill went up against the best the Challenge had to offer and he more than held his own. He finished tied for third in scoring with 19.7 points per game. Gill, a 6-foot-3 guard scored 51 points through his first two games. The southpaw can score in a variety of ways and he did it against some talented defenders. On Saturday he was burying pull-up jumpers and finishing at the tin. He’s a legit high major prospect.
Talks about ECU and Charlotte offering in this video about 3 mins in. Well spoken 15 year old but it does sound like he is determined to play in the ACC.

I thought this guy had been gulaged.
“And there appears to be more elite talent maturing in the younger classes in North Carolina. Scout.com has Raleigh’s Isaiah Hicks and Anton Gill, Charlotte’s Kennedy Meeks and Winston-Salem’s Greg McClinton all ranked among the nation’s top 30 juniors”.
