Alexander = stud starter
Coleman = big man role player
Jamison = athletic role player
Mullis = in between role player
pretty good for 05. by my count, that leaves us with 0 more scholarships to hand out for 05? Barring any early exits from Withers or Iti of course. Only major disappointment was loosing Gee. I know a lot of people would have liked to see a bigger name HS player in there, but if Withers & Iti stick around we will be absolutely loaded next year and the role playing JUCOs will help out a lot more in the short term(NCAA tourny run and possible high ranking moving into the A10, a lot less “loosable” conference games for us, could realistically be a 3-5 loss team) than some HS players would be.
Good job by Bobby and company, I think if Withers & Iti stay it will make the coaches look pretty smart recruiting immediate help
We have one more to give, barring defections to the NBA/other pro leagues.

Sager, Plavich, Basden, Pigford.
Assuming no defections:
Withers
Iti
Drayton
Alexander
Goldwire
Baldwin
Lewis
Bennett
Nance
Mullis
Jamison
Coleman
1 to give
Antwon Coleman:
-Average 12 and 7 his freshman year at Wabash Valley College, IL
-SC 4A State Player of the year in 2003
-Think Robert “Tractor” Trailor
Summary of Coleman’s game from Bob Gibbons on 10/29/04:
Coleman is the prototypical “wide body,” who uses his huge size and strength to seal off, and create space inside. He is an excellent passer, rebounder, and power player. Plus, he is very adept and stepping out and utilizing his very accurate medium range shooting touch.

Good to get him now, usually in April a JC guy with that size is a hard get, due to the fact that many schools are looking to add size to their rosters for the following season.
Especially if he can rebound and defend.
Former SC player of the year also, good credential.
Here is Hoop Scoop’s assessment on his verbal.
They rank him the #3 Juco Center in the country this year.
When 6’5 Jerrell Jamison from Wabash Valley (JC) IL verbally committed to Charlotte two weeks ago, we told you that his teammate - 6’8 Antwon Coleman from Wabash Valley (JC) IL - probably wouldn’t be too far behind. And now it looks we were right on the money, because Big Apple Sports, which is one of our best sources of information about junior college players, is reporting that Coleman has picked the 49ers. Obviously this is huge for Charlotte, because Coleman is the #3-ranked center in the junior college ranks and, as a result, it appears that he is ideally suited to step in and complement 6’8 Jr Curtis Withers and 7’0 Soph Martin Iti, who, along with 6’5 Sr Eddie Basden and 6’8 Jr E.J. Drayton, already make up one of the better front lines in college basketball. The verbal commitment by Coleman moves Charlotte’s recruiting class, which also already includes Jamison and 6’5 Mitch Mullis from Thomasville (East Davidson) NC, into a tie at #48, along with Georgetown, Stanford, and Florida State, on our list of the Top Recruiting Classes To-Date for the Class of 2005. However, even more important, the addition of Coleman should ensure that Charlotte is immediately one of the best teams in the league when they join the Atlantic-10 Conference next year.
Coleman had 20 and Jamison 11 in WBCC 12 point loss to Top 10 power Vincennes last night. They have a little guard (Bridgewater) that leads them in scoring about every night.
