Anyone Coming Down For Tulane?

Curious if anyone is heading this way for the Tulane game.

If you thought we had trouble getting fans to come out… Tulane is ranked #1 in baseball and they are giving away tickets to the hoops game to anyone with a ticket to the baseball game on Saturday afternoon. They are also shuttling people to the arena from the baseball field. They should have a decent crowd in a small gym.

Anyway let me know if any Niner fans are coming down here, I would love to meet you.

I’ll be there. I dont think we have fifty going so you should check with the athletic dept. and see if you can sit with us.

I’ll be in the Big Easy and that is what I am hoping the game is. I want to sit back with a belly full of etouffe and watch us have fun.

Nugget,

you coming to the game???

Yes.

xxxcellent

You guys eat heavy before the game, Tulane is only averaging 1702 per game so you can take up two seats.

We will see if our 30 can take over the house like we did in Davidson. If you hear “this is our house” on the broadcast you know we did our job.

Look for us on C-SET. We’ll be the ones in green. :o

One plus in going to the A-10 is that we are the only green team (William and Mary doesn’t count, they are a football member).

Thanks for the tip JK. I got a couple of tix from the athletic department for the game, so I will get to sit with other Niner folks.

I bet the Niner faithful will be much louder that the Tulaners. Man, back in Metro days that was a pretty frickin huge rivalry. Perry Clark had some good teams. I remember when Henry Williams and company went into Fogleman during Mardi Gras and upset the 1st place Wave. That arena is a historic place. Good atmosphere from what I hear.

other chants during Davidson I liked:
High School Cheerleaders
Walk home safely

Its the only time I can recall hearing "We are Charlotte." I didn't like it, reminds me of the year Indiana came in here, and I was seated near them. They kept chanting "We are IU."
