Applause for O article

With a lot of people on here bashing the O for their coverage (including me at times), I want to applaud them on the article about the St. Louis freshman. Nice little article that gives a glimpse of how good these fresman are. Thanks David Scott, nice article.

They may continue to take advantage of the problems at Missou. Unless Missou hires Soderberg (sp?), he is an excellent coach with a bright future.

With his Big 10 experience, I would not be suprised if a Big 10 team makes a run at him.

Theyโ€™d probably win a lot more games if they hadnโ€™t had so many players entrenched in that slowdown offense. They showed on Saturday the direction SLU will probably go over the next few years. A lot of us for a couple of years have said Soderburg does a great coaching job with nothing to work with. Heโ€™s timing the move to the oncampus facility with some playersโ€ฆ the pro equivalent of spending some coin on free agents prior to moving into a new ball park. Smartly done.

Observer runs A-10 stuff every Tuesday, usually pulled from the coaches teleconference on Monday. One article highlights an upcoming opponent. The other varies week to week. This has always been good.

To recap, they lack in gameday coverage, coverage of non-revenue sports (Baseball, soccer, golf, etc), and attention given to former Niners. Postgame coverage, an occassional player feature and the Tuesday thing have been good.
