I am right there with you NinerFan. I graduated from Charlotte in 2000 and have been a loyal fan since. I love the Niners and the school but this is just depressing. In 2004 I went to The Ohio State University and received a graduate degree, became a huge Buckeye FOOTBALL fan, and in 2 years never went to a Buckeye basketball game. Iāve never been on their basketball message board and have never decreased my loyalty to Charlotte.
But I canāt take much more of Lutz & Rose and 3 point basketball and no defense. Why shouldnāt I be a Buckeye fan in all sports. I graduated from there as well. I live in Big 10 country. I love their football team and am very proud of being a Buckeye.
I am really struggling over why I should continue to support a school that so obviously doesnāt care as much as many of us do.
I Graduated from Charlotte in '03 and am currently at The Ohio State University in grad school (business - anyoneās company looking for an MBA - marketing summer intern?). I am also a proud Buckeye football fan (have been since birth in the Columbus). I did not get basketball tickets despite Oden b/c of my loyalties to the Niners⦠Even though I am broke and will only see a game or two, I kept my Niner season tickets and (modest) 49er Club Contribution and will until I am no more.
Despite how the season started, I would just feel like such a sellout if I showed up to the Schott and jumped on the Buckeye basketball bandwagon. For better or worse it will always be Buckeye Football and Niner Hoops for me. It is depressing, the downward trend of the athletic department of late, but the way I look at it is if the most loyal Niners jumpship, the ship will literally be empty.
The good times are really over. We are in a downward spiral and I donāt see things changing any time soon. Halton once had packed out nationally televised games with legit rivalries. Today we have none of that. No excitement. I really hate it for the students. I wish they could experience what I got to in my four years. Some of my best memories were in that arena at the big games. Storming the courts, raising hell at Cincy gamesā¦it was a great college experience. Nothing like this will EVER happen while we are in the A-10. Iām not sure the next time I will darken the doors of Halton.
Fire Judy!
Also heard we were on the trail of a tatted up 7ā0" sharp shooter. Can you imagine a guy like that giving defenses fits. he could post down low or pop out for a guaranteed 3333333333333333333!

Good times are coming. Heās like Dirk Jr.
i understand heās great in the low post, but his real forte is bringing the ball up and creating stuff from the top of the key. he told the guy at the burger king where i shop that he loves to ādrive & dishā. but that was in an employment interview, so iām not sure exactly what he was talking about.
