All day today I’ve had friends that are huge Duke and Carolina fans, come up to me and be like hey man, ya know we’re ranked now? I just laughed cause they’re telling me this at like 8-9pm , and they have no idea I sat on ESPN refreshing all day waiting for it to come out. But either way, whatever gets fans to the game, and if this makes some people start to move towards being fans of the school they go to, then I don’t mind at all. I think this is the only time when I don’t mind a whole bunch of people getting on the bandwagon.
Totally agree, my roomate comes in at 11 and says, “Hey man we’re 23rd now” and i just looked at him and was like, “Duhhh” he didnt realize that my whole weekend since Sat. night revolved around 2 PM Mon. afternoon. Then after i informed him of my lower level seats to the game, hes like, “Yeah i think i might go now since they are good.”
when you get this kind of response/reaction from the “newbies”… you should just say that we’ve been this good all season long, but are just now getting recognized. Let them know had been missing something.

You could’ve saved yourself some time… If you were an EXPERIANCED fan, you would’ve known exactly what time the polls could have been released at their earliest and saved yourself three to four hours.
