If we can stay healthy, we should be really good yet again this year. OH MY GOD BASEBALL SEASON NEEDS TO GET HERE NOW.

AMEN!!

I’m thinking about season tickets this year if I can get the reserved seats for the cheap special price.

Are we really going to be good this year? We lost a ton of hitting and didn’t have much pitching to begin with. Is Lyerly healthy?

Apparently there was a scrimmage yesterday. I’m glad they gave out plenty of notice…

Jan. 31, 2009

Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers begin practice in preparation for the 2009 baseball season on Sunday, February 1 with a noon practice and 1:30 scrimmage. The public is invited to attend.

Did they announce this scrimmage at the basketball game Saturday?

If they did announce it, it musta been before the women’s game started or they turned the speakers off during that particular announcement 'cause I never heard it. Coach Hibbs was at the most of the men’s game. I guess it made too much sense to assume they would’ve said something about this.

I was at both games, nothing said. Nor did I see or was I told anything about it beforehand. Oh well.

I’m the PA announcer, and I didn’t know about it.

that’s where I saw it.

if you keep up with the desktop communicator, you got about one day of notice…

Nine teams from the Carolinas is pretty impressive. Although I find it a little odd to see Dook in the field and not South Carolina. Something tells me South Carolina will find a way to get in and Dook will find a way to screw up an apparently talented team.

South Carolina should with its new $4 trillion baseball stadium

Well in all fairness, Sarge was a dump for a program that has been as good as they have over the last decade, especially compared to their SEC brethren.

I never heard it announced either. It’s good there are no longer 5 or so doubleheaders per season like in my time. It’s a bit much for me now.

Scrimmages all week. I may swing by after the basketball game on Sunday. I’m itching for some baseball.
