Baseball Post Season projections

Since we are half way through teh baseball season, many college baseball publications are coming out with weekly regional projections etc. Post all the projections you find here.

The A-10 is a weak conference and we will likey have to win the Tourney in order to get in, but I just looked at Baseball America’s latest projection and was given a glimmer of hope at an at large.

Charlotte (89) has a remote chance at an at-large bid as well, if it fails to win the A-10.

Last week BA had us as a 3 seed in the UVa Regional.

Atlantic 10 (1) – Charlotte (8-1, 26-6, RPI 91) was dominating in its sweep of Saint Joseph’s (3-6, 11-20), outscoring the Hawks 31-3 in Philly to extend its win streak to seven. Second-place Richmond (5-1, 17-13-2) battled the elements to take two of three at Xavier (3-6, 18-16). Rhode Island (5-4, 16-13, RPI 50) took two of three from Saint Louis (2-4, 20-12) and saw its RPI climb 12 spots to move into bubble territory. We still think the 49ers will be the A-10 representative, but the Rams could make this very interesting. And the Spiders have rebounded from a slow start to the season. This weekend, Charlotte goes to Saint Louis, Richmond returns to Ohio to face Dayton (4-2, 16-16) and URI entertains Saint Joe’s.

Go 40-6 and we’ll get an at large.

I just want to take a minute and soak this in… What a great feeling see your team at NUMBER 1 in the country… wooohooo!

It’s hard for me to beleive that being ranked in the top 30 in the country that we would be as low as a 4 seed. We should be a 3 at worst at this point. With 16 regionals, being in the top 30 would give us a 2 seed by the numbers but I guess we would have to travel. Being in Chapel Hill, UVa or Columbia, we should be a 3 having teh benefit of being close to home.

Niner baseball makes me happy. 40-6 sounds like a good prediction to me. Go niners!

WHO’S HOT

Charlotte: The Forty Niners might not have a great RPI, but they’ve won eight-straight contests and have total control of the Atlantic 10. Oh yeah, they also have a win over North Carolina this spring.

That bracket might work out quite well for us.

That would be AWESOME.

Anyone want to meet at the brew pub on Franklin Street and walk by the old well on the way to the baseball stadium? You just never know what might be going on there. Maybe even some bride being photographed.

I have heard of that kind of thing happening.

Never done that before! EVER!
