Best Place to Tailgate

So, what do you guys think? Will we be allowed to tailgate like they do at other schools in our state, drinking and all? Where’s the best place going to be?

Tailgating is the most crucial aspect of football, and drinking a a major part of it. As long as you are in a tailgating lot, you can drink. No kegs though. If I had to pick a lot that I would consider the “best” (they are all great), I’d say the black lot due to proximity to the student union and the stadium… and I’m not biased at all.

I think another option you may want to consider is to set up your tailgate in Chancellor Phil’s yard. He’ll probably stop on the way to the stadium and have a beer or 2 with you, so take some extra brews.

Welcome to the board Spaceship. Better late than never.

I am in Gold, but I agree that Black has many benefits such as its central location. I’ll probably visit black most games, especially 8/31 to seethe team arrive.

Additionally, the Alumni Association will have a tent that will hold 400-500 folks for each game. The cost is $30. But includes beer, wine and food. It’s location is excellent.

I was in the fancy-pants lot over by Grigg for the spring game, but it was pretty boring being out there in the boonies with hardly anyone around, so I changed to the Black lot for the regular season. Bonus is access to indoor bathrooms in the Student Union for the womenfolk.

Not to mention the AC in the warm months, and the heat in the cold months, or the shelter in the rainy games. Some womenfolk think it is silly to tailgate in the elements.

Black lot or the grassy area between Halton and Cone Deck. If people do it right, that area could be our own version of the Grove.

So if I park in the yellow deck, I can take stuff down to certain grassy areas to tailgate? If so, which ones?

“Tailgating is prohibited in the following areas: Chancellor’s residence grounds and parking lot, Recreational
Fields & Athletic Fields, Botanical Gardens, protected flood zones, wildlife areas, natural habitat areas and the
graveyard near the stadium.”

So What Are The Tailgate Options for Those That Got A Parking Pass In Union Deck?
