Best All Around Player For Charlotte:

De’Angelo Alexander or Brendan Plavich?

*15 ALEXANDER, De’Angelo (Jr. season) 14 GAMES 34.4 mpg 77-192 .401 fg% 3PTRS - 39-94 .415, FT’s - 44-60 .733, rebs per game 6.4 Assists per game 2.14 TO pg- 1.4 STL - 15 Points Per Game - 16.9

*05 PLAVICH, Brendan… 29 GAMES 32.8 mpg 125-330 .379 fg% 3PTRS - 114-294 .388 FT’s - 34-55 .618 Rebs per game 2.7 Assists per game 1.65 TO pg - 1.4 13.7 PPG

That is not an entirely fair comparison. DA should be compared to Eddie.

one of my friends argued Plavich was better

I think we miss Plav more than we might have thought we would…early in the season at least.

But DA is a more complete player.

I voted for DA, but Plav certainly helped alot. What he lacked on D, he made up for by drawing defenders out 35 feet from the whole. His game at Syracuse was the stuff of legend.

Not saying it wasn’t impressive to see Plav in action but would much prefer Alexander over him because of the complete game

Hard to compare the two. DA is all around better though… more complete.

I can’t believe how civil everyone is being given past Plavich debates.

Personally, I was a huge Plav fan, but DA is easily the more complete player. Plav was more of a one-trick pony, but man-oh-man what a trick. I don’t think we have ever had or will ever again have a player with that kind of shooting ability. special.

not the range but we’ve had some great shooters , Jobey Thomas maybe being the best

exactly. Jobey is a different kind of shooter.

If you want to compare then it should be by postion.

PG Colson or Demon or Baldwin

SG Jobey or Plav or Leemire

SF Galen or Eddie or DA

PF D. Johnson or White or Withers

I’ll take Colson, Henry, Basden, White and Demarco. I know I don’t have a center and I don’t care.

The only reason I take Colson over Dinkins is that we won’t have enough balls on the court anyway.

At center?

Cornbread vs fill-in-the-blank. Cornbread wins.

Sorry, when I was doing the comparisons I was just doing guys over the last 5-10 years.

I’d say PG, definately colson, most complete, SG has to be jobey, more mobile than plavich less erratic than goldwire, deadeye shooter. SF would go to eddie so far, he did everything well and a lot of little things too. PF, has to be curtis, DeMarco was a little steadier but curt can dominate when he’s on, white was good but not enough exposure.
