Youāre missing his point in your agitation. There is college for everyone. Basically no one is too dumb to go to college, be it community, for-profit, etc. Obviously thatās not his point. His statement was clearly exaggeration. As has been cited in other comments, several athletes have gotten in at schools that they didnāt meet the academic standards for. That was his point.

All that exists now is the short game. Rosters turnover every year and coaches will jump as soon as they have success.
Iāve followed Niner athletics I was a senior in high school. Iām now a gray haired middle aged man and Iāve never see the niners succeed in a revenue sport. Never. Iāll take short term.

Here is one for you; What is the one thing all 3 final candidates on Hunters reported list have in common?
Hot take - I like Hunter, but leaked names given to him benefit the AD in what way? Especially after the Houston debacle. I dont pretend to have insider knowledge but I think itll be someone not from his 3 names, and hopefully a stronger hire than those listed. He may have been fed names to set the bar low.
Realistic take - we probably hire nc state coordinator with no HC experience and our fan base erupts.

Thatās being reported by footballscoop and some Arkansas sources. I have no idea of the reliability of the Arkansas peops who may be parroting from Hunter but footballscoop is solid.
Whatās this fixation on three names instead of the entire list? Which may or may not be the ACTUAL list.
According to the observer article, Hill may not ultimately be making the decision on this hire. It could be Gaber and a committee (of which Iām sure Hill is a part of).
Worth noting that Gaber was vice chancellor at Arkansas when Petrino was the HC, so she has worked with him before.
