There is no other… Niners only. I was brought up by a father that played ACC basketball. Niners only. Never missed a football game in our history. Never missed a basketball game when a student at Charlotte way back in the early 90s. I feel sorry for the current students.

They actually discussed this during the BoT meeting with Hill today. Same prediction.
I just feel like a program like ours has a ton of fans who have another team who they rooted for previously
Personally, I wasn’t a huge sports fan at all. But when I started at Charlotte, one of my roommates had an uncle in the AD department. He gave us jerseys, and said that some guy named Bobby Lutz was hired. We started going to games, and I have hardly missed a game since. I follow this board daily, but never lost much.
Fast forward to recent times, and I was eating at the Ckmeback Shack in Boone. A guy came in wearing a CLT hoodie, and sat next to us. I said, not sure if you follow Charlotte hoops or not, but we actually just won our first meaningful game in years. He extended his hand and said, I actually do know about that, I’m Mike Hill and I’m the newly hired AD.
He’s been nothing but awesome through limited emails since then.

You are raised on the ACC or SEC around here but then you find out it is all a big pile of lie$. Really I have no time to follow anyone else other than the Niners. In my eyes everyone else is our competition.

I grew up a Chapel hill fan but quit being a basket fan as soon as I picked Charlotte but folllowed them in football until running into some shit talking heel fans after our ncaa game vs them in the 90s. I hate them now… so much. I picked Oregon to follow after going to a game in autzen stadium.

No my friend. Is customary. Until other programs, big programs in particular change their ways, it is still customary. Thinking you are being edgey and a trendsetter doesn’t means the customs have changed. The truth is, we swam upstream with his firing and it’s backfiring in our faces spectacularly.
I also miss Ghost of CLT being pudgy ALF kid.

Been a Niner fan seems like forever. Attended my first basketball game in the Mine Shaft during the Bill Foster era. Have followed soccer for quite some time too!
As far as college football, there are four generations of NC State grads in the family, so paid more attention to the Pack than anyone else and actually still do. But Niner football now tops!

Didn’t care about college football at all.
FWIW bust may not have cared about football but he joined me handing out flyers to the march to the endzone rally at a panthers game!

Like i said we will see how things develop and regardless of what position it puts us in now he needed be done and should have been done earlier IMO

Not those flyers those were the dorm storm ones and the vote ones. The ones we handed out a panther game was some cheap flyers gill printed in The library I think lol. We saved yours for the people voting in the vote
I did a lot of stuff for CFI. I viewed football as crucial for the success of the school’s reputation, student experience, and positioning in the changing athletic landscape. Imagine still being stuck in the A10!
