âŠit wonât be Poggi replacing him. Nor Swinney.
I bet UCLA and Va Tech are already calling him
Please do
Biff in LA. Lol. That would be entertaining and short lived.
Football Press Conference: Biff Poggi (vs. Central Michigan)
Biff Poggi: The Most Interesting Coach In College Football
I thought he should have been given an extra year but I never thought he would have worked out here. he just wasnât the right fit for building this program. but I do find it interesting that the michigan fan seem to be building a cult like demeanor around him. and even liked the way he acted at our program. I guess if he has a few good games at michigan he might get another chance and they will just say the stint here was a bad fluke.
And whatever new school hires him will find out quickly how bad he is, unless he hires really good coordinators

Biff knows how to buy talent (and cars) but he definitely cannot coach. He needs to stay right there in Michigan. What an ego he has.
Biff not knowing how to in game coach just cost Michigan that Hail Mary TDâŠjust call a timeout with more time on the clock and they would have been forced to punt it.
Biff being Biff in game

they got the win. so if heâs really looking for another head coaching gig this should help his resume. but you have to remember they easily recruit the talent he needs to run his play style up there. either way great for him. but a guy like albin will likely help us more with building the foundation the program needs. good luck biff
Biff living in fantasy Camp continued today with the big W!, year three of it.
Glad we could pay for Michigan to have an interim Coach, we have plenty of $$$ so no big deal for us.![]()
Somebody please hire biff.
They will wait till the foolsâ:rofl:
, i mean us, stop paying him⊠so Jan 2026
Problem is, if you have a GM type HC, you have to have a âdeputyâ Xs&Os AC who has the talent to be paid HC money somewhere else, or visa versa.
Paggi got 1.5 years to bring in revenue. That should not have been his primary role but it was evident it had to be done to win. Gettting large companies to fund your program takes longer than that. It starts with engaging them first and getting us placed in their annual budget. Charlotte has been trying to do this for how long? And for people to say he did not do it, he did not have time.
Why did Charlotte have to apologize to donors for Poggi? Always vague and ambiguous. This part always gets conveniently left out. I call BS!
We have $1M in NIL compared to South Florida at $7 to $8M. Yet, we fire a coach with a 5 win season, trending upward. Doing it the first 2 years moving up to the American, much more challenging than ever before.
Firing Biff resulted in us paying him roughly $500k per year or more. Not sure if the Michigan rehire resolved that. Mike Hill got a contract extension, got fired, and now we are paying him $400k per year for the next 4 years. No wonder we do not have money to fund our program.
My point is keep your head coach for another year to give him a fair chance. What we have done is not working and ultimately cost us a lot of money for the next several years.
All the experts say, itâs all about the money now. The right ânext hireâ must be spot on.
