@Charlotte49ers: Former 49er hoopster turned boxer Kelvin Price (10-0) set to fight Deontay Wilder (Olympic Bronze; 25-0 with 25 KO’s), Dec.15 on Showtime.
I wonder if Picasso’s has Showtime?

You mean besides Showtime at home? If any establishments will carry it?
Anywhere I can buy it online or just buy the fight without having to buy Showtime.

Compared to buying some boxing matches or UFC events, it may be cheaper to just buy showtime for a month, then cancel it next month.
You can buy premium channels by the day. If you have TWC, it will cost you about fifty cents.
what time is the fight on Saturday?
KP was knocked out in the 3rd round. Wilder hit him with one hell of a shot. 26 fights- 26 KO’s. Impressive.
One hell of a shot wasn’t the word for it. Kelvin got hit by a truck and was sent to another planet.
The first two rounds KP seemed very aware of the right. The dude had a reach advantage and Kelvin tried to step in take a few shots and then get distance. In the third the guy threw a left that Kelvin blocked, but the block cause him to drop his defense and the right came in at the speed of sound and landed clean and square. Done.
If you watch it closely the guy is pulling down on Price’s left hand with his left hand to prevent him from blocking the right hand punch. That punch would’ve knocked anyone out.
That’s saying something if KP had a reach disadvantage.
Kelvin seemed to have a decent plan, but wasn’t able to execute it. Landed some good body shots. But was only 1 for 86 in jabs.
Yeah, it was weird seeing 2 giants like that in the ring.
Interestingly, they only listed KP at 6’6" in the pre-fight info.
Also, you could still see the scar on his shoulder that always popped out of the socket on him.
Yeah the left he threw - Kelvin blocked but the guy pulled down Kelvins hand then boom.
video link?
Skip to 7:00 mark to see it playout…
Ouch. Time for Kelvin to find safer work.
Wilder definitely used his left hand to hold down KP’s arms as he delivered the big punch. When you watch it in real time, it’s almost as if Kelvin just expected him to throw a jab and not deliver the KO blow. I hope Kelvin will call it a career soon and not try to hang on like so many of these guys do. I know the money is good, but it ain’t worth taking those kind of shots over and over.
Ouch. I did think Kelvin was hurt right before that big right hand though. His legs didnt seem right getting out of that last clinch.
Nwa and I were onthe chat when it happened and suspected that he’d had his bell rung in the previous clinch. The crowds “ooooooohhhhh” when they showed the replay cracked me up a little.
Anyone know how much a fight like that might pay?
