BJ is his younger brother, #22 in the video, who committed to Virginia. Both are coached by dad Bryant Stith. Virginia apparently wanted Brandan to prep and come in with his brother. He’s the bigger and more raw of the two.
6-6, with a 7’ wing span. One article said he was up for POY in Virginia. Plays more post right now. Averaged 19ppg

B.J.'s older brother, Brandan, is the leading candidate for the Group AA player of the year award and scored 21 points to lead Brunswick in the semis. Brandan Stith might very well end up playing for the Cavs as well. Though the 6-foot-6, 200-pound power forward is a bit undersized to play in the post at the ACC level, but he reportedly has a 7-foot wingspan and Coach Dad told Rivals.com earlier this year that Brandan’s perimeter game has improved dramatically. Word was the Cavs were encouraging Brandan, a junior, to play a post grad year at a prep school and join B.J. in the Hoos’ 2014 recruiting class, but perhaps with Brandan’s continued development and the multitude of transfers out of UVa, they may be ready to invite him to Charlottesville after his senior year.
Brunswick High won its second straight Group AA State Championship this past season and a main cog in their attack was Brandan Stith, a 6-foot-6 forward who is the son of former NBA player Bryant Stith. Three things really stick about him and they are activity, tenacity and deflections. Stith finishes well around the rim and the defense is definitely there. Furthermore, he has an effective mid-range game that makes intriguing in that he’ll be looked at as both a ‘4’ and a ‘3’ man, though his most natural spot right now is power forward. He’ll become a more dynamic offensive player and scorer as he gets stronger because he’ll hold his position better and utilize that 7-foot-1 wingspan to his advantage.
" Bryant Stith on Brandan Stith: "Tenacity is not a problem with Brandan. He brings it every single night. Brandan right now is a natural ‘4’ who is trying to convert to a small forward. Therefore, he has a lot of things he has to improve on, such as his ball-handling, extending his range out to the three-point line. As he’s able to do that, the expansion of his game will continue to grow. Right now he’s a threat around the basket, his mid-range game is rock solid and he wants to be able to put on more size and strength so that he can continue to hold his position on the offensive end of the floor. As he gets stronger, he’ll be an even better scorer because he has that 7-foot-1 wingspan.
“Without a doubt, he has the ability to take over a game for us. Brandan is taking it slow right now as far as recruiting. He’s received seven offers from various schools and various conferences, but I think he’s in a really good place. He’s very comfortable with where he is, and I believe he’ll continue to improve.”"
