Brendan Plavich

Eddie Basden is way special in many ways and he will be missed dearly the next season. Chris Sager played his roll and helped out the team in his own way. But, Brendan could be a ball hog today and put up a few hundred shots to rack his points up. Instead, he chose to assist and played defense. He will also be missed not just for his unlimited range but as an unselfish and classy team player. We are so fortunate to have such a special team and seniors this year. Go Niners !

He played well on defense today, particularly supporting the inside.

Heck, I’m going to miss BP. I love the guy, even if he drives me absolutely crazy. It took a while for me to fully come around on him, but everyone on this team has the right idea. We’re a real team and that could carry us deep.

This has been one of the most reward years of basketball I’ve seen in a while, and I’m glad it’s my last as a student.

You can’t replace his heart and leadership. He may have a bad game every once in a while or take a shot that makes you cringe, but he has a great head on his shoulders. He’s a born leader and his teammates listen to him/respect him. If he doesn’t find a career as a player somewhere, I think he would make a great assistant coach and potentially a head coach.

BP has accepted his role. If he’s half-way open, jack it up. If not, roam about 30’ from the hoop and let our other guys play 4 on 4. We’ll win that more often than not.

Plus, he’s a good kid.

Agree with your statement completely and think that in a few years he will be a head coach at a college somewhere. As to his heart and leadership, I guess he proved to some that didn't think he should be a team captain that they were wrong.

Three great seniors on a great Charlotte team!

Besides his leadership and the saying " . . .if you’re a shooter. . . you come to Charlotte ". I will miss his shot from wayyyyy down town Charlotte. (One thing for sure IU fan are still crying about his half court shot. :D)

Amen to everyone’s thoughts. This is a special senior class. I can’t wait to see how they finish their collegiate careers.

   I’m going to miss my Plavie!!! :weep: :weep: :weep:

clt knows plavo will be an ass. coach soon at charlotte.

I agree Plav was unselfish today and has been for a good deal of the season, we have great chemistry on this team and I hope we make a deep run in the tourney!!!1

I enjoyed the atmosphere of the game today, it was Great send off to the seniors.

Plav is a great player and we’re fortunate to have him. This kid has helped get us a lot of recognition on the national level. Add to what Niner89 said - the guy helped us go into Syracuse and pull of an upset as well as finally winning @ Cincinnati!!

I’ve been following this team for 9 years and I think I will miss this group most (Colson, Demarco & Shaw a close 2nd).

Like others have said, this is the best team I think I’ve ever seen in Niner green.

First Clt comes on the board with his racist talk talking about tokens at the Observer, now he's homophobic making off color remarks about BP and saying he's gonna be someone's ass coach one day. Mod's why don't you ban this guy, we don't need this crap here!!!!!!

Anybody else have a good feeling about him in Freedom hall?

Jimmy you don’t think he meant assistant do you?

Everyone knows Plav isn’t gay. If you’ve seen his girlfriend you would have no doubts. She’s not slamming but she’s cute.

Dude, that's pretty gay.

Jimmy look what you’ve done started. Way to get the board riled up.

On 2nd thought you should take Mark Packer’s job.

Who was the poster that was obessed with Plavich and drinking since they saw him drink at a bar one time?

I remember because anytime Anti-Plav topics came up, he would post about seeing Plavich drinking.
