Brownlee - PF JC

Utter mentioned him in blog, as Armstead’s teammate. Apparently he is like the 4th rated JC in the country, 230lb, 6-6, PF who is highly sought after. Many programs are after these two guys.

Also, apparently the benchmark for JC stars in the Big Ten is Vincent Grier success at Minnesota, interesting to see that.

If we went for a 6-6 Juco PF I would be worried because it would likely mean Braswell isn’t good enough to start or get a lot of minutes, which I think is what a lot of us are hoping for. We know Spears will start.

Edit- Nm then. Still would rather go for a center or 4 year SF though

i think he is a small forward, brownlee.

Ah that guy. There’s already a thread for him… still on the front page of recruiting in fact.

Well, then I feel like an idiot!

Braswell and Spears plus big Phil; but if Phil can only play 15-20/game; we still need another rebounder/defender in the frontcourt on the roster.

Sherrill…

Will he be strong enough to put in minutes in the frontcourt as a frosh ? I think we will need a defender/rebounder to play with the scorers in the frontcourt.

I guess nobody can really answer that unless they’ve seen him play, but in the many pictures I’ve seen of him as I followed his senior season, he looked like he was in incredible shape for a high school basketball player. He appears to have a body ready for the college game as a freshman, much like Wilderness did.

A possibility with Ok State still going after him. Scout lists Charlotte, St Johns and OSU.

Lefty, are Armstead and Brownlee a package deal?

I don’t know about that. I would certainly take them as our final 2.
